I continue to ponder in my mind....

Brother Enoch,

As I covenanted in the temple to give all that I have, all that I will be blessed with to the cause of Zion, I still wonder if that means I need to first purify myself, and then seek to share with others, or does that mean I should share with others and get their input to assist me.

When you did your for over 300 years, did you spend the first 50 years purifying yourself and then start preaching to others? I am sure it was difficult, but you did it, your had enough following to translate your whole city.

I know we must prepare for a Zion, but I am still researching how. Please give whomever reads this insights and enough nerve to add their comments so we can all glean from each other? Thanks again for taking the time to read this when you are so busy.

Zerin

PS. (Those who wonder where the first letters to Enoch are and would desire copies of them, please send me an email and I shall copy them off and send them to you. seekingtobringforthzion@gmail.com)

I don't think I could purify myself without other's assistance. That is my way of talking through it and making it make sense. I miss our chats about this kind of stuff! You have such deep, insightful thoughts and you always leave me with something to ponder. I still rely on that comment you made about worrying too much. Everytime I worry now, I think, "I'm not trusting in Him to make it all work out." Thanks for all your help and love. You are the best!

I had a real eye opener with my uncle the other day. We were sitting in his office discussing employees. We had decided that when he looks for new employees he is searching for those that don't have to be told what to do. He wants to be able to walk into his business and see his people doing things that they thought up on their own, instead of him having to write a list for them to do and waiting for it to be done. Even if what they are doing is small and seemingly insignificant, it is still something that is helping the company and showing that they are willing to go the extra mile to serve as an employee. Then it hit me. Don't you think that the Lord is doing the same thing? It hit me that there are so many people out there that are waiting for the Lord to "write a list" of things for them to do and then they will feel accomplished. Or they are relying on other people to tell them where to go and what to do. I feel that what would really please the Lord is to see that we are "thinking for ourselves" and doing something that will benefit not only us, but the human race. How much more pleased is an employer when he knows he has an employee that he desn't have to babysit. Here's the kicker, the Lord has already given us the list. The question is, how many of us are willing to go the extra mile to show our Heavely Father that he doesn't have to "babysit" us. I think, and this is just my thoughts, that we will have to start acting for ouselves to show the Savior that we are a Zion people willing to not only do what it takes, but to go the extra mile to bring forth Zion. Just a thought.

Zerin, my thoughts this morning are this, you CANNOT purify yourself! None of us can! We can make righteous choices but the purifying must be done by the savior. Therefore, Zion can only be brought about (individually and as a community) by having a living, breathing, hour-to-hour relationship with the Lord. As I build a stonger relationship with him, in mind and body, thought and action, Spirit and Element, then He will start purifying me and "blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God!"
